Norm and Holly DeBoer are delighted to be a part of the Rosebank Church Family. They have made Waterloo Region their home for over 30 years. Their paths first crossed at the Waterloo Regional Police Service where they spent the next number of years working together to protect the community. It was during this time that they both began to grow in their faith. Holly later left policing to homeschool their three children, Cassidy, Elijah and Chloe, while Norm continued on the police service in a variety of units including patrol, tactical, detectives and fraud.
Norm began taking classes at Heritage College and Seminary while continuing his policing career and has since finished a Graduate Diploma in Pastoral Leadership and a Master of Theological Studies. After 30 years with WRPS, Norm retired and moved on to complete a pastoral internship at Benton Street Baptist Church in Kitchener and then served as lead pastor of Maple Creek Community Church in Dunnville. For the last 5 years, Holly was blessed to serve as Director of Children and Youth Ministries at Benton Street Baptist Church and completed the Graduate Certificate for Women in Ministry at Heritage College and Seminary.
Norm and Holly suffered the devastating loss of their dear son, Elijah in 2023 and began their ministry at Rosebank Church alongside a journey of grief. To this day, God’s people have faithfully upheld them in prayer, and His grace has been sufficient for each day that passes.
Norm and Holly have a deep love for God and His Church and are thankful for this ministry opportunity where they continue to serve and protect.
